Phoenix, Arizona 85032

I just wanted to give a very special thank you to the Dog-Eared Pages Bookstore who have committed to donate books to our cause. They have already donated about 800 amazing books!! Thom and his wife Melanie who own this bookstore, have pledged to Jessica's Operation Orange and Jewels for Jessica, to start donating their unwanted books to Operation Orange. Not only are they helping to fill the shelves of the Perryville Women's Prison Library, but are creating more jobs for the inmates because of the amount of books we are donating!

If you are looking for a book please visit their website http://www.dogearedpagesusedbooks.com/ or if you are in their area please visit their bookstore! If you need something special just give Thom or Melanie a call and if they do not have it, they will find if for you! They are an authorized vendor for the prison as well. :)

Jewels For Jessica

Sitting in the courtroom and watching Jessica be sentenced to prison compelled our friend Kathi Hofferth to help in some way. She had learned by reading the book, Orange Is The New Black, by Piper Kerman, how prison conditions are in addition to the loneliness the women must feel. She has been beading for 28 years and thought she might sell bracelets to support Jessica and the other women at Perryville Womens Correctional Facility. Jessica's mother, Jeanne Robinson, suggested we collect and buy books that the prison desperately needs. Kathi teaches and tutors children in reading and was very pleased to know that the women at Perryville could be entertained, inspired, and learn from their reading.

Jewels For Jessica has also held a holiday boutique recently to raise money to buy even more books for the new libraries at Perryville. The beads and findings are donated solely by other beaders and sold as bracelets at reasonable costs to earn "book money". We hope to continue collecting books for this cause. The more people that find out about the cause, the more books we take in!"
