Taped Together With Masking Tape
Just a quick update on Jessica. We received a second letter, same type of envelope, taped together with pieces of masking tape. She mentioned that the tape was around her new orange outfit that was in her laundry bag and she saved it to make the envelopes. She said the food was really good! The mashed potatoes were great and they also had vanilla pudding that was yummy. She is sleeping really well too.
She is getting mail, she mentioned quite a few people had written so mail is getting through. It takes about 4 days from the time we send something (from here in Phoenix) to get to her. I mailed books and they were delivered to the prison on Sat about 6:30am but as of today, she had not received them. I called the mail department and they said, "this is not like a normal mail room, it could take up to two weeks, and have some patience". So, I will learn to be more patient. :) But, the copies of the puzzle books pages and magazine pages I sent , all made it through as well as the pictures.
She has been alone in her cell for the past 4 days, and is enjoying the solitude. She also mentioned that the guards are very, very nice compared to county jail. She said to tell everyone, Hi, and she misses everyone and thanks for writing, she LOVES getting mail!!! She is only permitted to be out of her cell for one hour a day to shower and get outside for a minute so mail is keeping her busy. She also mentioned that she only gets 3 stamps a week at this point, so I you do not hear back from her, its because she cannot write back at this time. She will write to everyone eventually.
Alot of the info I am telling you is because she had a "legal" call from our attorney Mr. McDonald, and I was there with him. So I was able to ask a few questions and exchange an, I love you with her....it was a legal I love you of course, since it was a legal call. :)
Thank you for all your emails, and support. I will keep you updated.
