Dear Family and Friends,
Over the past 2 weeks I have accompanied a young beautiful bright girl to her court date where she was taken into custody and took a 7 year plea, I met with 2 other women who are mothers, in their 30's who have had DUI's and are facing up to 8 months in prison. I am also currently mentoring another women in her early 40's a mother of 3 who is facing 7 plus years for a DUI manslaughter.
I am telling you these stories because I want you to know that these women, just like Jessica had so much going for them. Each one is beautiful and bright and had so much life to live. One poor decision or choice or whatever you may want to call it, changed their lives FOREVER. Once you have been convicted of these types of charges, your life is changed forever. You will always have a felony on your record, it will be hard for you to find a place to live or find a job or even to travel the world if that was your desire. You may never be able to drive again. If you take a life you have to live with that forever...
I am begging all of you who read this to please, do not EVER drink and drive. We live in a state that even one sip of alcohol and getting behind the wheel can put you in prison. So please do not even take a sip and get behind the wheel.
If I could have just one wish it would be that I would never ever get another call to help another person facing jail or prison time due to drinking and driving.
