Operation Orange meets Author Piper Kerman
We had the pleasure of meeting Piper Kerman, the Author of "Orange Is The New Black", at her book reading in Portland. Piper's book was instrumental in helping Jessica, her family, and friends prepare for her entry into prison. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know what Jessica's life in Perryville is like.

Meet Thom and Melanie, the owners of the Dog-Eared Pages Used Bookstore, located here in Phoenix! Thom and Melanie are amazing people and huge supporters of Jessica's Operation Orange. Thom said he loves donating to our cause for several reasons, one of them being, “because once the books go in, I don't have to worry about them coming out and having someone try to sell me a book I have donated"!

Book Donations!
Who would have thought that asking for a few books from family, friends, co-workers and bookstores would turn into this? My garage and house are FULL of books and I love it! This book donation mission is growing and growing everyday! The Perryville Women's Prison is almost filled to capacity and they have been able to open a new library on Yard 26, thanks to all of Operation Orange donations! Now we are moving forward with the project to start helping the other Prison's throughout the state of Arizona! Keep the donations coming!
